Dodgers Free Agents

The Los Angeles Dodgers payroll jumped about $10 million from 2006 to 2007. Will the team spend more or look to cut some payroll? Well here are their free agents this off-season...

-2B Jeff Kent ($9 million club option)....is guaranteed due to the amount of plate appearances reached this past season

-SP Randy Wolf ($9 million club option)

-OF Luis Gonzalez

-SP David Wells

-C Mike Lieberthal ($1.4 million club option)

-IF Olmedo Saenz

-RP Roberto Hernandez

-1B Mark Sweeney

-SS Ramon Martinez ($1 million club option)

-RP Rudy Seanez

-1B Shea Hillenbrand

Re: Dodgers Free Agents

Yeah, I can see them dumping some payroll - Kent, Wolf, Wells, and one of the first basemen, at least, I would think.

Cool Re: Dodgers Free Agents

Why would they dump Kent? He's the only one on that team who can hit.

Re: Dodgers Free Agents

Okay, so he's the only guy who hit .300 on the team. Martin and Pierre weren't far off, and I just think they can do better than him for that kind of money.
