| Brady Penny, Cy Young Award candidate
They may not have Jason Schmidt for a while, but at least the Dodgers still have Brad Penny. According to the AP, "Penny became the second nine-game winner in the National League, Russell Martin homered in his first major league game in his native Canada and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Toronto Blue Jays 10-1 on Tuesday night... Penny (9-1) allowed one run on six hits over seven innings to win his fourth straight decision. He walked one, struck out five and lowered his ERA to 2.12, second best in the NL." So with numbers like that, Penny has to be on everyone's Cy Young Award shortlists, right? |
