Angels win Francisco Rodriguez case

The Los Angeles Angels have won their arbitration case against closer Francisco Rodriguez.

They offered the 26-year-old closer $10 million; he had been asking for $12.5. Rodriguez has 132 saves over the past three years. That's the most in the Major Leagues. So why do you think he wound up losing his case?

Re: Angels win Francisco Rodriguez case

a few players have lost their cases this time. Maybe someone is realizing that salaries are getting out of hand.

Because no one should ever have to pay a reliever $12 million, that's why... ...its totally unsured that these guys, arguably the kickers of MLB can work 70 innings in a year and break the bank.

I like the old days where starters went 40 games +300 innings...
