The Angels have acquired right handed starter Jon Garland from the White Sox for veteran shortstop Orlando Cabrera.
"Reports of Garland being dealt to the Angels have surfaced as early as after the 2001 season, and he expected to be traded as he entered the final year of a three-year contract that will earn him $12 million in 2008.
Garland, 28, was 10-13 with a 4.23 ERA in 32 starts for the Sox last season. He has pitched 211 innings or more in each of the past four seasons and has made 32 starts or more in the past six seasons."

Anyone have an idea on who the Angels plan on sticking at short in 2008?
