| Angels GM Bill Stoneman Steps Down The LA Angels' Bill Stoneman has stepped down as the teams general manager this evening. He has moved to a consultant position for the franchise. Stoneman was the architecht of the 2002 World Series Champion Angels team. His contract expired this year but holds a mutual option year as a GM or a consultant according to CBS Sports. No replacement has been named but Tony Reagins (in player development) is the early favorite. |

According to the Associated Press, "Reagins, 40, has been with the Angels since 1992, when he joined the team as an intern. | Re: Angels GM Bill Stoneman Steps Down With the restrictions on spending money sent down by Moreno, it will be difficult to fill the holes on this team, in particular the need for another big bat in the lineup to compliment Vlad. I hope they are able to pull the trigger on some deal to bring in that extra help.
