Are Angels baseball's best team? That's the question being asked on the front page of the Yahoo! Sports MLB section. They have the second best winning percentage in baseball behind the Red Sox, second in the MLB in batting average (.291) behind the Detroit Tigers, 5th in OBP and 7th in team ERA. So does all that add up to baseball's best team, in your opinion?

If your asking as of right now, I think the tigers are the best team, followed by the Red Sox and then Angels..

I think I'd put the Red Sox first, then the Angels. Detroit is hot now, but looking at the season as a whole, that's how I'd rate them.

1. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
2. Boston Red Sox
3. Cleveland Indians
4. Detroit Tigers
5. LA Dodgers

The Red Sox have holes in their lineup, a lot of trouble in the middle part of the bullpen, and health issues with a few starters. They'll easily win the AL East, but are not the best team in baseball.

I would put them

1. Detroit- They have the most complete team IMO when some relievers come off DL

2. LAA

3. Boston

4. Cleveland

5. Milwaukee- I have to put them in just for the NL to be represented. Great offense, good pitching and a great closer.

I would say they're the best. Although between them and Detroit, it could be either or. A toss-up really.

IMO: Angels, Tigers, BoSox, Milwaukee/Mets (either or), Cleveland

13 blown saves- most in the American League

That's it. That's the whole pen. Not one reliever with an ERA under 3.50. The closer has an ERA over 6.00.

A team with such a horrific bullpen could NEVER be the best team in baseball.

Anybody who thinks the Angels can beat the Red Sox in any series is delusional. Have you seen this team when they step into Fenway? I would bet my dog on Boston against the Angels,anytime, anywhere and I'm a Yankees fan.

I don't know. The Angels play much better defense and have a better bullpen than the Sox. I would call it a toss up right now, if they played.

Right now, nope. I would have to say Boston is. I like the Mets and Yankees a little better than the Halos, right now - althought the Angels always kill the Yankees. They host the Yankees 8/20 -8/22 so I guess we'll learn a lot, in that series.
