| Angels P John Lackey Los Angeles Angels P John Lackey won his MLB-leading 8th game today, beating the New York Yankees 4-3. Lackey gave up five hits and two runs in 8.0 innings of work, striking out four and throwing 105 pitches on the afternoon. He now has an 8-3 record and a 2.36 season ERA. Definitely the hottest pitcher in the AL at this point in the year, don't you think?

| Re: Angels P John Lackey Last night, Lackey became the first MLB pitcher to 9 wins, allowing two runs and five hits in 7 1-3 innings in a 3-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles. It was Lackey's fifth straight win, and he retired 16 of the last 18 hitters he faced. |
