Angels interested in Giambi

Interesting report in today's New York Post: "MLB isn’t the only outfit interested in Jason Giambi. According to a person with knowledge of the Angels’ thinking, the AL West leaders have an interest in acquiring the Yankees’ DH to bolster a lineup that is last in the league in home runs." So should Los Angeles try to acquire Giambi?

They could get a few good arms for him. I don't think the Yankees will miss him too much.

No, I don't think they'll miss him too much, either. I'm more surprised that the Angels are interested in him.

The Angels are constantly shopping Ervin Santana. How would he be in pinstripes?

Possibly, but don't you think the Yanks might be more interested in bullpen help with Clemens coming, not to mention how well that rookie pitched on Sunday? What if New York could land someone like Scot Shields in exchange for Giambi? I bet Yankee fans would love that deal.

Hopefully, he would replicate that performance he had the first time in the Playoffs against the Yanks.
