This is a good example of the phrase, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." The Angels made another good run at being World Champions. They won their 5th AL West title in 6 years. One of these years they will probably make that big run and get deep in the playoffs. Until then, it doesn't seem to make sense to switch coaches, that is why they aren't.



Mike Scioscia’s entire coaching staff will be back with the Los Angeles Angels next season.
Bench coach Ron Roenicke, pitching coach Mike Butcher, third base coach Dino Ebel, first base coach Alfredo Griffin, hitting coach Mickey Hatcher, bullpen coach Orlando Mercado and bullpen catcher Steve Soliz will return in 2010.

No one can beat the Yankees though. If you can even get up to play the Yankees, then it isn't broken. They made about as good of a run as you can in the AL, unless your the Yankees of course.

Obviously what the angels "had" wasn't enough... So why keep it as is??

I'm saying that no matter what they get, they will not beat the Yankees. So an ALCS appearance is the best they can do for a decade or so.
