09-06) 16:50 PDT Anaheim, Calif. (AP) -- A lot of offense helped Ervin Santana go a long way on a hot day.
Chone Figgins drove in the go-ahead run with a double in the sixth inning and Howie Kendrick homered as the Los Angeles Angels beat the Baltimore Orioles 8-4 Wednesday for their fifth consecutive victory.
Vladimir Guerrero drove in two runs, and the Angels remained 5 1/2 games behind AL West-leading Oakland, which rallied to beat Texas 9-6.
"They're hot," Baltimore manager Sam Perlozzo said about the Angels. "They seem to find every hole and every part of the field you could find, whether they hit it hard or hit it soft. Our guys really battled. We just couldn't hold them down."

Impressive win for the Angels, who are 12-3 in their last 15 home games. They have a weekend series with the Blue Jays coming up. Any chance they're able to catch Oakland for the division lead?
