Cool Brand almost ready

Quote:
Injured Los Angeles Clippers forward Elton Brand on Monday inched closer to his return to the court by participating in non-contact drills and afterward said he definitely plans on playing this season according to the Los Angeles Times.

"That's what it looks like to me," said Brand, who has sat out the season while recovering from a ruptured left Achilles tendon.

Brand stretched with the team and went through 5-on-0 drills. He is dunking and said he can leap as high as he could before he sustained the injury last August. His next step is to go through full-contact practices. Brand and the Clippers medical staff hope that will occur in about two weeks.

If you ask me, they should just shut him down for the year and make sure he's TOTALLY healthy for next year. The Clippers are not making the playoffs anyway.

What does everybody else think?

Re: Brand almost ready

Absolutely. What's the point in bringing him back now? Wait till he's 100% and let him come back next season, most definitely.
