The Clippers were able to enjoy the Christmas holiday lopping the heft of a six game losing streak off their backs Saturday in Houston with a 98-93 triumph over the Yao and Tracy McGrady-less Rockets.
It was an encouraging victory regardless of the fact that their foe was undermanned in the sense that L.A. came through with a strong second half overcoming an 11 point third quarter deficit to post their first win in two weeks. The second half featured a 59-45 scoring edge thanks to 67% field goal shooting (vs. the league's best defense) and 35% opposing field goal percentage allowed.
Now it's on to Utah for a clash with the Northwest Division pace-setting 20-8 Jazz Tuesday evening (6pm PT) at Energy Solutions Arena.
