Things appear to be on the uptick for the Clippers as they take to the road for a two game swing into the Southwest Division for clashes at San Antonio (5pm PT) Friday and Memphis on Saturday. Los Angeles generated momentum for the trip with back to back home court triumphs over a pair of Eastern powers in handling Orlando 116-91 Sunday and fending off Miami on Tuesday 101-97.
The club's offense, for so much of the young season, mysteriously missing in action has been very good lately. In fact over the last two games, the Clippers have averaged 108.5ppg on 54% FG shooting while averaging 24apg.
Mike Dunleavy's 9-8 L.A. squad is getting tremendous play from Elton Brand lately as he's averaging 32ppg, 11.5rpg on 78%FG shooting over the last two. His surge comes as a most opportune time with Tim Duncan looming on Friday.
