The sophomore had what his coach, Billy Gillipie, called "by far his best contest of the year" in the University of Kentucky's 62-52 victory over Stony Brook last night, finishing with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Teammate Patrick Patterson said it was a game Stevenson could have "whenever he wants." "That's news to me," Stevenson said afterward. The real news was the way the Seawolves hung tough despite shooting 34.5 percent, making only three three-pointers and turning the ball over 19 times. Those ugly numbers didn't keep the winless upstarts from cutting UK's lead to six points as late as the 5:20 mark of the second half. Stevenson helps right rocky Cats
