| Gillispie: Meeks’ recovery 'disappointing' LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky basketball coach Billy Gillispie said today that the status of injured guard Jodie Meeks “doesn’t look good.” Meeks, who has a stress fracture in his pelvic region, has missed UK’s last two games. In the two weeks since his injury, Gillispie said Meeks “hasn’t been able to do anything.” Gillispie called Meeks’ recovery “disappointing.” UK still is without sophomore guard Derrick Jasper, who is recovering from microfracture knee surgery and still is limited to running while his teammates practice. “I’m more concerned about the possibility of (Meeks’) return more so than Derrick Jasper at this point,” Gillispie said. “I’m not a doctor, I just go on what I see, and if you can’t do anything after two weeks, that’s not very encouraging.” Gillispie: Meeks’ recovery 'disappointing'
