LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Joe Crawford sat and waited, biding his time far longer than most anyone expected.
When the University of Kentucky guard finally got his senior season off to an on-court start last night, he made up for lost time. Crawford came off the bench with 6:55 left in the first half and sparked UK with a game-high 20 points, pacing the No. 20 Wildcats to a 67-40 victory over Central Arkansas at Rupp Arena in Billy Gillisipie's official debut as UK head coach.
"I only played 18 minutes," Crawford said. "It seemed like I was out there forever, I was so tired."
