| Jasper won't play tomorrow LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky guard Derrick Jasper will not play in tomorrow’s exhibition game against Pikeville College, Wildcats coach Billy Gillispie said today. Jasper, a sophomore, still is recovering from microfracture knee surgery. He hasn’t practiced since last Monday, Gillispie said. Jasper has soreness and swelling in his surgically repaired left knee, but an MRI over the weekend revealed no further damage. The healing process is “pretty normal,” Gillispie said. “He practiced last Sunday and looked really good in a scrimmage, and last Monday he practiced, and I haven’t seen him since, as far as practice goes,” Gillispie said. “I know he’s frustrated, and I’m definitely frustrated, because we definitely need him. We need him back yesterday. He makes a difference for our team in a lot of different areas, just in the limited time I was able to work with him and see him.” The rest of the Cats are medically cleared to play in tomorrow’s game, which tips off at 7 p.m. UK guard Derrick Jasper won't play tomorrow
