| Dixon, Burton may be out for MSU Saturday LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky wide receiver Keenan Burton and tailback Tony Dixon are questionable for Saturday’s game against Mississippi State, UK coach Rich Brooks said today. Burton has a strained knee and Dixon a sprained ankle. “We’ll have to see the next couple of days how they come along,” Brooks said today at his weekly news conference. UK will be without middle linebacker Micah Johnson, who had surgery this morning to repair cartilage damage in his knee. Johnson could return for the Wildcats’ Nov. 10 game at Vanderbilt. UK is off next Saturday. “No surgery is minor,” Brooks said. “Now it’s just a matter of how much swelling, how fast it goes away, how the rehab goes… . I’ve had players play eight days after a knee scope, and I’ve had other players not play for three or four weeks after a knee scope.” No. 14 UK (6-2, 2-2 Southeastern Conference) hosts the Bulldogs (4-4, 1-3) on Saturday, a week after a 45-37 loss to Florida. Mississippi State is coming off a 38-13 loss at West Virginia last Saturday. Despite that lopsided loss, Brooks lauded the Bulldogs, whose win total this season is their highest in four seasons under Sylvester Croom. “Any team that can go into Auburn and beat Auburn at Auburn has a lot of SEC-caliber players,” Brooks said. “We’ve got our work cut out for us. Every week is a new challenge. We’ve got to bounce off of a tough loss.” UK's Dixon, Burton may be out for MSU Saturday
