*Several readers have written and asked me to mention this, so here goes: Craig James of CBS Sports is a voter in the Associated Press college football poll. He's a former star at Southern Methodist, who played with Eric Dickerson. He also played in the NFL.

And James is not impressed by the UK football team. Not at all.

He's got UK 24th on his latest ballot.

He evidently played at SMU without his helmet. His first 5 or 6 are ok but then the wheels come off his logic wagon. The GTG poll is more legit.
