LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Go ahead. Use the L word.
For two weeks University of Kentucky football coach Rich Brooks has tried to turn the tide of conversation away from the University of Louisville and the rivalry game set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Commonwealth Stadium.
It was a losing battle. Now he can stop fighting it.
"Yeah!" Brooks cheered at his news conference Saturday after UK's 56-20 win against Kent State. "Now we can talk about Louisville!"
Brooks publicly pushed to move the rivalry game from its traditional opening-week spot to the season's third week. This season was the first since 1993 in which UK didn't open against the Cardinals.
