| Illinois assistant joins Gillispie’s UK staff LEXINGTON, Ky. – Tracy Webster, an assistant basketball coach at Illinois, is set to resign his position and is expected to be named the third assistant on Billy Gillispie’s University of Kentucky staff. The hiring will not be official until paperwork is completed at UK. Webster, who played point guard at Wisconsin, has been on Bruce Weber’s Illinois staff for the past three seasons. A native of Harvey, Ill., Webster would give UK a recruiter with ties to Chicago. Webster has recruited the city as an assistant at Illinois, Ball State and Purdue. Webster also has been recruiting Darius Miller, the Mason County star who also is considering the Wildcats and the Illini. Illinois assistant joins Gillispie’s UK staff
