| UK's Mabry breaks thumb at practice
UK reserve middle linebacker Mikhail Mabry, a sophomore, broke a thumb in practice yesterday and will be out indefinitely, coach Rich Brooks said.
He will undergo surgery today.
The injury to Mabry could leave UK thin at middle linebacker for tomorrow's opener against Eastern Kentucky.
Last year's starter, Braxton Kelley, is still recovering from a high ankle sprain, and he could be limited tomorrow. Micah Johnson is expected to start. — Associated Press
