| Wildcats' Pryor suspended for opener University of Kentucky junior defensive tackle Myron Pryor will sit out the Wildcats' opening game Saturday after coach Rich Brooks suspended him for violating team rules. Brooks hinted that Pryor's violation might not have been recent, noting that it came between the end of last season and the start of this one. There's "a six- or seven-month period where they have the ability to do something they shouldn't do," Brooks said yesterday during his weekly news conference. Pryor is expected to return for next week's game against Kent State. "Maybe just one more reason I'm glad we're not opening with our normal opener," said Brooks, referring to the scheduling change that means the Wildcats will face Eastern Kentucky University instead of the University of Louisville in their first game. Redshirt freshman Ricky Lumpkin will start in Pryor's place, alongside sophomore Corey Peters.
