LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Corey Peters knew Myron Pryor, but only by reputation.
The University of Kentucky defensive tackles both played their high school football in Louisville, Peters at Central, Pryor -- a year older -- at Eastern.
"We never played against each other, but I think we knew of each other," said Peters, a 6-foot-3, 290-pound sophomore. "I heard he was a good player."

A year into his career at UK, Peters has firsthand evidence.

Last season Pryor had 42 tackles, 6 1/2 for loss. He led UK with five sacks, tied for 10th in NCAA Division I-A with four forced fumbles and added an interception.

Peters had 18 tackles as a true freshman, eight of them against Louisiana-Monroe.
