The coach was particularly impressed with punters Tim Masthay -- a junior and two-year returning starter -- and Ryan Tydlacka, a freshman from Trinity High School who is pushing for the starting spot. Tydlacka's brother, Wade, punted for the University of Louisville.
"It's a very competitive thing," Brooks said. "Masthay is performing at a higher level than he ever has at fall camp. Whether that's because he's being pushed or maybe because he's matured and gotten more consistent fundamentally, I'm not sure."
