LEXINGTON, Ky. Chandler Burden's hope is to trounce a few offensive tackles and crush his share of quarterbacks this season as a defensive end at the University of Kentucky.
But had his career taken a different turn, the 6-foot-4, 296-pound Burden might have put his muscles to use elsewhere.
If I didn't play football, I'd probably be a bodybuilder, said Burden, a sophomore from Blue Ash,
Ohio. Lifting (weights) is probably my favorite thing to do.
The weight room is an essential stop for football players at any level. But while pumping iron is a necessary evil for some, many will tell you it's downright therapeutic.
