Tough opening week defeat for Kansas State, who took Auburn to the brink before falling, 23-13, on two late scores. Look for Ron Prince's team to rebound with a big win over an overmatched San Jose State club that could only muster 115 yards of total offense in their season opener. QB Josh Freeman should have a strong game, and I'm thinking the Wildcats win by three touchdowns.

Okay, so I was one point off. They won by 20, not 21. According to the Associated Press, "Josh Freeman threw for 272 yards and a touchdown and ran for a score in Kansas State's 34-14 victory over San Jose State on Saturday night... James Johnson ran for 111 yards and one TD for Kansas State (1-1), which won its 18th straight home opener and avoided its first 0-2 start since losing its first three games in 1989."
