AMES, Iowa | Kansas turned away 7-0 and 11-0 Iowa State runs in the second half to walk away with a much-needed 75-64 victory over the Cyclones.
Darrell Arthur led the Jayhawks with 18 points and 10 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season. Mario Chalmers and Brandon Rush each had 15 points. The Jayhawks, 25-3 and 10-3 in the Big 12, had success from inside and out, scoring 34 points in the paint and hitting seven of 11 from three-point range.
Trailing 36-23 at halftime, the Cyclones started the second half on a 7-0 run to cut KU’s lead to six. The Jayhawks answered right back, though, with an 8-0 run of their own to keep Iowa State at bay.
