The Royals had starter Brian Bannister pitching in a day game and an offense that continued to wake up from a week-long slumber.
Sounds like a winning formula, right? It wasn't quite that easy, but the Royals have plenty to talk about as they embark on a seven-game road trip in Detroit and Boston. Bannister allowed just two runs while battling through six innings, Miguel Olivo hit his 13th home run, and the Royals took care of the White Sox, 6-3, in front of 15,915 on Sunday at Kauffman Stadium.
