Re: Royals 3B Mark Teahen

This kid Teahen was involved in the 2004 Carlos Beltran trade, and as of late he really seems to be coming into his own. According to this story, since Teahen was recalled on June 3, "he's hit .324 with 15 homers and 55 RBIs since, pushing his overall totals to .296 with 17 homers and 64 RBIs in 101 games." That's not too bad, really. Could a guy like this be the kind of building block the Royals have been looking for, to get things started in the right direction?

Cool Re: Royals 3B Mark Teahen

The guy can definitely hit. The question with the Royals is their pitching. Off hand, without looking it up can you name even 3 guys in their starting rotation?

Nope, I can only name two - Redman and Hernandez.

Re: Royals 3B Mark Teahen

He's been on nothing short of an inferno for the past month. One of the best 3B (offensively, I don't get to see KC games) in the AL for sure in that time.

KC's management hopefully is better than they let on because the town use to be a great baseball town.

Re: Royals 3B Mark Teahen

I remember the days with George Brett. That wasn't all that long ago, was it?

Re: Royals 3B Mark Teahen

Well, this stinks - the Boston Globe is reporting Teahen is out for the rest of the year with a torn labrum. Right in the middle of my fantasy playoffs, no less. Bummer. So the K.C. third baseman finished the season with 18 homers and 69 RBI. Not too bad, eh? What does the future hold for Teahen?
