Royals avoid 100 loss season

With yesterday's 6-3 win over the Minnesota Twins, the Kansas City Royals ensured themselves that they would lose fewer than 100 games this season, making in the first time in four years that they will only have double-digit losses. "I never thought that this team would lose 100," skipper Buddy Bell told reporters after the game. "I don't really think it's that big of a deal. I always believed from the very beginning that wasn't going to be the case." So Bell isn't surprised about this. Are you?

A small step on the road back to respectability. They should improve even more in 2008.

Agreed, and I love the attitude Bell is bringing to this team - first teach them not to expect to lose, and then teach them how to win.

Too bad Bell wont be back. But it still comes down to talent. And they have 2 very good starting pitchers. Need another 1 or 2 though, to compete.
