This is a GREAT article at USA Today by Mel Antonen on the Rebuilding Royals. From the sound of it, they have at least some plan in place to try and right the ship. They only have a $55 Million payroll and hope some of their young guys can step up. Namely though, they'd like some of their young pitching prospects to take a step up.

Whether they do or not, within the next three years they could be a nice team.

LOL, he could afford the payroll but I doubt he has hundreds of millions of dollars lying around to purchase the franchise.
