| Re: Royals raising ticket prices According to this story, Kansas City is going to be raising their ticket prices. But fear not, Royals fans, because they're still expected to have "the lowest average ticket price in Major League Baseball -- less than $15. The average in 2006 was $13.71, lowest in the big leagues... The club said its increase in ticket prices was the first in two seasons. There are more than 20,000 seats for $14 or less when bought on a single-game basis." So, what's everyone's thoughts on the ticket price increase in K.C.? I'll tell ya what -- I sure hope some of that extra money goes towards player contracts!

| Re: Royals raising ticket prices They plan to grab some big stars over the off-season. I think their market tactics are outrageous, though! Unless they want to lose crowds, I don't see why they should be raising their revenue. |

| Re: Royals raising ticket prices The Royals raising ticket prices is a brilliant way to fill up an empty stadium!! I mean fans will be lining up to pay MORE money to see basically a minor league club who finishes last every year and the owner treats like gum on his shoe. The fans paying more will make it feel like their ticket really means something special. This is marketing at its best. Kudos to the KC Royals! |
