Re: Royals Twins thank-you card

Ha ha! This is funny. The Kansas City Royals yesterday received "a giant sized thank you card signed by hundreds of Twins fans," courtesy of a Minneapolis radio station. The Twins fans were showing their gratitude for K.C.'s season-ending sweep of the Tigers, which helped the Twins clinch the AL Central. And what else did they send along? A can of SPAM, the luncheon meat that is made in Minnesota. Go figure!

Re: Royals Twins thank-you card

Looking back, the Royals might not have done the Twins such a big favor. If the Royals had lost to the Tigers, the Twins would have won the wild card ( not the division), meaning that they'd have to face the Yanks instead of the A's.

Minnesota would've probably beaten New York and advanced to the ALCS if not for KC performance.

Re: Royals Twins thank-you card

If the Royals had lost (which was expected) they would have secured #1 pick overall of the MLB Draft.

Exactly what I was thinking. Those same Twins fans are probably kicking themselves now.

I'm not convinced. The way the Twins choked, you guys think they could've beaten New York?

At least the Yanks won ONE playoff game. Minnesota came up with the big goose egg against the Athletics.

But in that one game, the Yanks would have been facing Johann Santana, not Nate Robertson. Twins would've beaten the Yanks in 4-5 games.
