| Cassel thrown into the line of fire Matt Cassel was thrown into the line of fire last year in Week 1 when Tom Brady went down. He completed 327 out of 516 passes for 3983 yards, 21 TDs and 11 interceptions. He led his team to a 10-6 record for the season. He is back in the line of fire once again as quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. Can he save the Chiefs and lead them to more than 3 or 4 wins for the season?

| Re: Cassel thrown into the line of fire Yes he can, the Raiders are terrible, theres two easy wins. The Broncos look awful theres one or two wins. Than I think this whole team is just better they have a nice offense built there with Dwanye Bowe, hopefully the return of Larry Johnson to his good years, it's looking good. I think the Chiefs will be 8-8 or 9-7 and miss out on a wild card

| Re: Cassel thrown into the line of fire Looking at Cassel's numbers last year (and I don't have them in front of me) what impressed me most was how he got better as the season went along. And his numbers improved during games. Typically he had higher QB ratings as each quarter passed in the game. Which means he was at his best in the 4th quarter. Don't quote me on this, but I think he posted 100+ QB ratings in something like 4 of his last 5 games. Would these numbers be on nfl.com? I'll have to take a look.

| Re: Cassel thrown into the line of fire Well, gotta run so I don't have time to finish my googling. Kids have their piano recital in 30 minutes. Matt Cassel - Kansas City Chiefs - NFL - Yahoo! Sports For the season his QB rating was 89.4, but over the last four weeks of the season, his rating was 102.7. Pretty impressive. |
