Quite a few battles to watch in Kansas City Chiefs training camp this year. Will Dee Brown or Quentin Griffin win the backup halfback job? Which two QBs (Brodie Croyle, Casey Printers, Damon Huard) make the team? Will Ronnie Cruz be able to replace Tony Richardson at fullback? Will Tamba Hali be able to win a starting job on the defensive line? Well, what do you think?

The biggest shocker to come out of River Falls other than one of those Len Dawson night on the town stories...is that Willie Roaf won't be back! It's a big hole the Chiefs will have to fill. He was a Pro-Bowler all but two years in his 13 year career.

The word is that he told the new coach and that hack Carl Peterson a few weeks ago but they were hoping the 36 year-old would reconsider.

I thought he was better after missing part of last season..not good news on day one of camp. Maybe tomorrow we'll something about Trent Green. I don't want to have to write off another season before they leave Wisconsin.

Edwards said Thursday the Chiefs would use the pride of Mesquite, Texas 4th year veteran Jordan Black at left tackle. He was their fifth round pick back in 2003. We'll see...
