| Re: 10 questions about the Kansas City Chiefs Okay, this article asks 10 questions about the 2006 K.C. Chiefs.
1. Will Priest Holmes be back?
I don't think so. He's too banged up, and I can't imagine him being happy playing in a back-up role to Larry Johnson anyway. Holmes retires.
2. Brodie or Casey?
The answer is yes. Seriously, if both of these two are coming along that well, keep both and dump Damon Huard. Printers isn't a rookie, I don't believe, so he should be able to handle the backup role, and Croyle and develop further as the third-stringer.
3. How about that other rookie?
Tamba Hali, that is. Oh, he'll start all right, and he may just be one of the most productive defensive rookies this year.
4. How much will Al Saunders’ departure hurt the offense?
Considerably. Saunders scheme was tailor made for this team, and Edwards doesn't exactly have a stellar resume when it comes to hiring offensive coordinators and creating a potent scoring attack. Will that change? Maybe a little, thanks to the level of offensive firepower he has, but schematically I'm not expecting big things.
5. Has now or never finally come for Ryan Sims?
Who? A first round draft pick four years ago who has yet to produce? Cut him. Next.
6. Willie Roaf’s really coming back, right?
Sure, he'll be back. An 11-time Pro Bowler deserves a little extra time with his family before the season starts. Does anyone thing Road WON'T be ready for the start of the season? Come on!
7. If Priest can’t go, who will back up L.J.?
This article says possibly Dee Brown. Can't say for sure, myself. Who else they got?
8. Can Larry run for 2,000 yards?
Not unless the passing attack is solid. If they don't fear the pass, they'll key on LJ and he'll get maybe 1,500, tops. It's all in Edwards and Trent Green's court, really.
9. Where does Kyle Turley fit into the Chiefs’ plans?
As John Welbourne's replacement, of course. He'll contribute.
10. Will Ty Law look good in red and gold?
We'll never know, cause he's going back to New England. Sorry, Chiefs fans! |
