Kansas City was last in rushing offense last year with 78 yards per game.
To help bolster that number, they drafted Jamaal Charles out of University of Texas. He finished his Longhorn career with 3328 yards, and 39 touchdowns.
He joins a backfield that includes 2nd year Kolby Smith and Larry Johnson.
Charles will be a change of pace back, he weighs about 200 lbs. but he is quick. He ran a 4.38 40 yd. dash at the combine.
