More than a year out of the game, former Giants head coach Jim Fassel could be getting back in.

Per the Kansas City Star, the Chiefs will interview Fassel for their vacant offensive coordinator position.

Fassel was a successful offensive coordinator before being hired by the Giants. And he took the Giants to Super Bowl XXXV, losing to the Ravens.

After being fired by New York after the 2003 season, Fassel landed in Baltimore, first as a consultant and then as offensive coordinator.

According to the Star, Chan Gaily, Mike Shula, and Eric Price also have been interviewed for the job.

Fassell is definitely deserving. I think he's a good coach who's gotten a raw deal everywhere he's been.
