Chiefs fire Mike Solari

ESPN is reporting that the Kansas City Chiefs have fired offensive coordinator Mike Solari. Great move, but should his have been the only head rolling?

Ah, looks like he wasn't the only one to get canned, although Herm Edwards is safe.

According to the Associated Press, "Solari, offensive line coach John Matsko, receivers coach Charlie Joiner and running backs coach James Saxon were let go Tuesday after a season in which the Chiefs were among the worst offensive teams in the NFL... Solari, Saxon and Joiner had been on the staff of previous coach Dick Vermeil. Tight ends coach Jon Embree and assistant head coach/quarterbacks coach Dick Curl were the only offensive assistants who were retained."

Re: Chiefs fire Mike Solari

I just don't get K.C. Outside of L.J, K.C is one team that needs to just start over. And that means letting go of Edwards as well. I know they got into the playoffs last season, but this team always under achieves imo. And it seems they always get a pass for under achieving. Unlike some teams like Cinncy, T.B, N.O, Bears, Oakland, and so on. These teams have a bad season you hear all about it. K.C has a bad season you never hear about in the National media.

I say If you are going to clean house, clean house. With a bunch of new coaches coming in though I think Herm might have bought himself a couple of more years in K.C. I don't think he's all that as a head coach myself. I think he's more known for his media quotes than anything else as far as coaching goes.

Herman's head needs to be on the floor as well. He is a decent enough guy, but sooooooooo conservative . He could be a solid defensive coordinator.

Cool Re: Chiefs fire Mike Solari

Herm hung his coordinators out to dry with the Jets, too.
