Holmes to miss 2007 season

Priest Holmes yesterday was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list, meaning the Chiefs running back will most likely miss the entire 2007 season. I'm stunned. I thought he was all set to come back as LJ's back-up. What do you guys think about this? Surprised?

By moving him to the non-football injury list, the Chiefs can choose not to pay him.

But how can it be that Holmes has a "non-football injury"?
