Top off-season additions
Draft: WR Dwayne Bowe, DT Turk McBride, DT DeMarcus Tyler and RB Kolby Smith
Free agency: LT Damion McIntosh, LB Donnie Edwards, DE Jimmy Wilkerson and DE Alfonso Boone

Willie Roaf was a staple on the Chiefs line for a good number of years, but he's now collecting retirement pay. McIntosh is hardly an upgrade over Roaf, but he's an adequate left tackle for the time being.

The emphasis here was obviously on defense as the Chiefs felt linebacking was an area of weakness. Edwards and Derrick Johnson will be a difficult combo for running backs to elude.
