ESPN is reporting that the Chiefs may be looking to part ways with 36-year-old QB Trent Green. I'd assume if this happens, they'd resign Damon Huard and go with him as the starter, but they could always be looking to free agency or the draft for someone else. So, what do you guys think about these rumors?

I don't see there being many takers for a 36 year old injury-riddled QB. Maybe the Bears? That might be a perfect spot for him if Green would re-do his deal.

I'm sure there would be somebody that would take him. He would be an upgrade to the Raiders, and he could help the transition period form the draft until the QB they take is ready.

Both the Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have quietly expressed interest in Green.

Now those 2 teams wanting Green baffle me. The Dolphins have a ton of money sunk into Culpepper and the Bucs re-signed Chris Simms.

Looks like the Chiefs want Trent Green to take a paycut. According to the AP, "The former Pro Bowl quarterback's agent, Jim Steiner, said Tuesday that the team is seeking to restructure Green's contract, which will pay him $7.2 million next season. The Chiefs are also entertaining offers for Green, who missed eight games last season with a severe concussion." I have to think at this point he's going to be playing elsewhere in 2007.

Whats the status on simms Injury, is he gonna be able to start when the season does If he gets to?

There's nothing that could be worse in our lives than to have a authority figure that has your best intrest at hand,to let you get by in what ever your doing in life and not hold you accountable for your mistakes.
Thats exactly what Dick "My favorite coach" Vermil did,i'm not mad at Vermil for doing that, i'm upset with our fan base because they really believed that he "TrINT" should have been mentioned in the same breath as Manning and Brady.
And other thing if TrINT Greens contract was'nt a factor in his staying with team last year, i would be calling for every coach that sat back and watched Damon"The answer" Huard throw bomb after bomb in practice
and not have consided having TrINT Green arrested on Grand theft charges.
1.) Impersonating a top 5 QB
2.) Taking advantage of the broken hearted "meaning all of us kansas city
fans thats been held hostage by Carl "Scarface the Don" Peterson.
3.) Conspireing with Scarface Peterson and taking all of our hard earned money and time on sunday afternoons knowing they had no intention on
