This weekend, the Kansas City Chiefs lock horns with the San Diego Chargers in a battle of AFC West division rivals. Unfortunately for K.C., they seem to be seriously outmatched in this one -- especially given their recent embarrassing loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. I look for Rivers, Tomlinson and company to power the Chargers to a 24-7 win in this one.

There is no need to question the Chiefs' motivation entering this game. A long-standing divisional rivalry, a contest Kansas City must win to resuscitate its playoff hopes, and one in which it will try to eliminate last week's 38-point humbling in Pittsburgh - in a nutshell, the Chiefs will have the unmistakable look of a desperate team. Is that emotional element enough to keep Kansas City in the game? Yes, especially since this is exactly the type of contest in which Schottenheimer tends to go into ultra-conservative "Marty- ball" mode. Is it enough for the Chiefs to overcome the presence of a shaky offensive line, still-inexperienced quarterback, and a defense that was exposed last week in Pittsburgh? Ultimately, probably not. But Edwards and company will have their chances.

Today's got to be upset weekend. The Chiefs just kicked the go-ahead 52-yard field goal with 6 seconds left against the Chargers.

San Diego came back from a large deficit and it looks like it all be for naught.

Yep...and Okland is up big...the Texans won...Steelers lose in overtime...Vick throws for 4 TDs...what's up with that?
