Assault charges against rookie Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Drew have been dropped, fox30online.com is reporting, and the second round pick has been cleared to practice with the team.

"A statement released by Drew’s attorney, Adisa Bakari, revealed that the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office concluded that Drew had no involvement in the incident," the above article states. "The LADA reportedly reviewed surveillance video which showed Drew leaving the restaurant at the beginning of the incident."

See, like I said elsewhere, sometimes these kids turn out innocent and you can't always judge them based on heresay, rumors and accusations.

I got high hopes for Drew...hope he doesn't turn out like the Pitt receiver who has had two run ins already.

I don't think that'll be a problem. According to what they say, the video showed that he clearly was not involved with this incident, so he's got a clean slate in my book.
