Sixteen months after undergoing surgery to repair two partially torn knee ligaments, the 30-year-old running back may finally have returned to form with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
"Freddy T is back,'' linebacker Mike Peterson said Saturday during the team's three-day minicamp. "He's 100 percent again. Before, he was pressing and trying to make things happen. Now, he looks good. I'm proud of him.''
Taylor injured his left knee Dec. 19, 2004, missed the final two games of that season and hobbled through much of last year. He wore a knee brace in every game and practice, and never returned to full speed. He also sat out five games with an ankle injury.
Labeled "Fragile Fred'' after a series of injuries early in his career, Taylor had started 46 consecutive games before hurting his knee. He has since missed seven of 18 games and was limited to 10 or fewer carries in three starts.
Fragile Fred huh?...I remember this guy in college and he certainly has been good in the pros, But I am always leery of a back bouncing back from this many injuries....hey but if I can still him late in the Fantasy draft... I will take him...
