| Garrard in, Leftwich out.. ![]() If this isn't one of the biggest shockers of camp, I don't know what is. Despite saying Byron Leftwich would be the starter all off-season long, the Jags are now reportedly looking to trade or release their former first round pick, and plan to name David Garrard their starter. From ESPN's Chris Mortensen: Team and league sources said that former starter Byron Leftwich will likely be traded or released. |

| Re: Garrard in, Leftwich out.. I've never been able to figure out why DelRio's so down on Leftwich, but at least he's finally got his guy starting. Leftwich will catch on somewhere. Oakland might be a good fit, if they didn't already have Culpepper. So do any Jags fans out there actually like the move? Do you believe Garrard actually gives your team a better chance to win?

I think DelRio's so down on Leftwich because he's always hurt, when he's playing he's merely a good quarterback and he's very expensive. David Garrard is younger, bigger and more resistant to injury. Leftwich never could keep himself healthy and that makes his salary a heavy load. As for Leftwitch going to the Jokeland Raiders I agree it would be a good fit. Al Davis still believes in misfit has beens instead of younger, franchise players hence his refusal to sign his first round draft pick who i'm sure you know his name! |
