| JACKSONVILLE - Fred Taylor is well aware he is just 487 rushing yards shy of reaching a benchmark historically linked with the Hall of Fame. The Jacksonville Jaguars running back also knows that in his case, 10,000 yards might not be enough to reserve a spot among the NFL's all-time greats. So . . . not that he's thinking about it, mind you, the nine-year veteran has been running a few numbers in his head. "I'll get 10,000 this year, and then I want to push it up more and more," he said recently. "I mean, why stop at 10,000? I want to go to 13,000. The next number would be 15,000 but that'll take some time." Sports |

| Re: Fred Taylor closing in on 10,000 yards You know, it's hard to believe that Taylor is that close to 10,000 yards. He's never seemed all that great to me. My impressions of him have been first as a backup to Jimmy Stewart, then as an injury prone player and now as a guy keeping the far more talented Maurice Jones-Drew out of the lineup. But I guess statistics don't like.
