The eerie thing about the video is how calm Barnes is throughout the whole thing. When he's calling the police officer a "KKK devil," he doesn't even seem particularly agitated, as though that's a normal thing to say to someone. In a way, his comments would seem more acceptable if he were ranting and raving like a lunatic -- in that case, we could say he didn't know what he was saying and blame the booze. But Barnes' tone here makes it clear that he knew exactly what he was saying. And what he was saying wasn't pretty.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., March 21 (UPI) -- A videotape revealed that Jacksonville Jaguars lineman Khalif Barnes verbally assaulted officers last year while being arrested on drunken driving charges.

The Jacksonville (Fla.) Times-Union said that the videotape shows the offensive tackle being verbally abuse the police during his arrest last November, alleging that they were racist and that the Florida city was a \"hick town.\"

\"This is unbelievable, man, unbelievable being a pro athlete in Jacksonville. I can\'t wait to get out of here. Can\'t wait,\" the 24-year-old said on the tape. \"Especially if you\'re black.\"

\"Of all the places in the -- world that I came to this -- hick town,\" he added later. \"They -- hate us here.\"
