I don't know. It depends who he hires. I was surprised that Jacksonville didn't make the playoffs. But the first thing that they should do is forget about Garrard and get Leftwich back in next year.

Welcome to today's NFL. The team barely misses the playoff and has to fire half their staff. Talk about overreacting. No way Del Rio should be on the hotseat, considering he lost his starting QB and the guy who was the starting RB entering the season for large portions of the year. And firing Ken Anderson? Sure looked like both Leftwich and Garrard were coached pretty darn well to me.

(Sports Network) - The Jacksonville Jaguars Tuesday fired offensive coordinator Carl Smith, special teams coordinator Pete Rodriguez, quarterbacks coach Ken Anderson, wide receivers coach Steve Walters, and special teams assistant Mark Michaels.

Jacksonville's passing game finished 24th in the league this season; while the special teams unit struggled consistently, and ended the season having a punt blocked and recovered for a touchdown in a 35-30 loss to Kansas City.

"I appreciate the effort each of these men gave during their time here," Jacksonville head coach Jack Del Rio said. "These decisions are always very difficult, but any decision that is made is done solely from the desire to win football games. I wish each of these coaches nothing but the best as they move on."
